The Georgia Lettermen Education Foundation Scholarship Program provides scholarships and grants to children and grandchildren of those who have Lettered in athletic competition at the University of Georgia. The scholarship or grant is intended to assist with tuition and fees, room, board, or other expenses associated with attending school. In all cases, preference is given first to applicants with demonstrated financial need. The scholarship/grant is for one year. You may reapply for subsequent awards, but each application is evaluated upon individual merits, as deemed by the Scholarship Committee, and availability of funds.
- Your application should be typed or neatly printed on the application form. Please submit the application no later than March 1, 2009 to:

- We request that you have two recommendations sent by school officials, civic, community or religious leaders or individuals who are knowledgeable of your accomplishments. The recommendations should be sent to the above address. The appropriate forms for these letters are included with this application.
- In addition to the materials described above, you should attach to your application a current official academic transcript from your school or college. If you are receiving financial aid of any type, scholarships, loans, or grants, please attach award or notification letters or financial aid transcripts. You must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with your school or college.
- It is assumed that the information you present in this application is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Failure to comply with the best principles of honesty and integrity will result in termination of any scholarship or grant.
